Watch Out Summer-Here I Come!

No more pencils, no more books, no more students dirty looks...almost!

Its that time again, the last day of school! One of the joys of teaching is the continuation of the child-like excitement for holiday breaks, snow days, and best of all-Summer Vacation!! I do love my job and truly LOVE my wonderful students but the thought of no alarm clock, reading by the pool, and soaking up the sun while watching many baseball games is truly intoxicating! Although, it may sound like heaven in writing, my summer also consists of 7 kids all home on vacation, a triple grocery bill, and freezee wrappers littered throughout the house. Nobody remembers to shut a door, they track wet grassy feet through the house, and I give up the possibility of running a quick errand alone for the next three months!

I do however have high hopes for a fun filled summer. I plan to exercise more, be outside as much as possible, and organize some closets. More importantly I want to make memories with the kids and enjoy the stress free days of summer. I will keep you posted on my progress ;) So, here's to the start of a wonderful friendship!
